I Love The Smith Machine

Happy Friday!  I’m going to share ONLY ONE of my dirty little secrets!  I NEVER squat!  Well not in the traditional bodybuilder sense in the squat rack. My body is out of whack due to some muscle imbalances (that I’m working on) but it causes my squat form to be terrible. So I perform almost only unilateral exercises in the smith machine. I think this poor machine gets a bad rap…lol!  It’s worked wonders for me. Any muscle you see in my legs is due to training like this….unilateral (single leg) in the smith machine up to 2/week. Don’t worry that everyone tells you to squat….especially when the majority has bad form. Pay attention to your body. Get help from trainer/sports therapist.
